Michael Acton Smith

February event - Michael Acton Smith: The Making of a (Moshi) Monster

From the humble beginning of a rent-free attic, Michael Acton Smith's Moshi Monsters business Mindy Candy is now valued at £200 million. Now the entrepreneur has agreed to reveal how he built his business and conquered the online world.  Michael Acton Smith is CEO, creative director and founder of online games developer and entertainment company Mind Candy. But he's no corporate drone. The Daily Telegraph calls him "a rock star version of Willy Wonka"; The Independent "a polite version of Bob Geldof." He created Moshi Monsters, which has 60 million users around the world and has expanded offline into books, toys, music, trading cards, TV and film, in 2008. Now he says he's aiming to "build the largest entertainment brand in the world for his new digital generation of kids". Listen to Michael share his knowledge and experience first-hand... and learn how you can take over the internet, Moshi-style.   This event has taken place, find the full audio podcast here.
